We are long-time users of Concert Window. When we first started viewing shows, they were crisp, sounded great, and the streaming was flawless. Over the past few years, this has gradually ceased to be the case.
Now, we can no longer view Concert Windows streams at all. Every venue (Club Passim, Cafe Lena, etc) buffers more than it actually plays. For every minute of watching time we might get a few seconds of play time before the stream pauses, making the show unwatchable.
We are using the latest version of Mozilla Seamonkey (which is built using the Firefox code base) on a late model Mac with 16GB of RAM and a high quality video card. Our download speed is 6Mbs, which is plenty for Concert Window requirements. We don't have this problem with any other streaming service, including Zoom real-time video conferences with 30-40 participants. All software has been updated to its latest versions...
We live in rural northern California and this is the only way we get to see live concerts like this, so we're extremely disappointed in how the system has become so severely degraded.
Can you please do something to address this situation? I'm sure we're not the only people affected. Is it something to do with your infrastructure provider? Is there throttling going on? Are only certain users (those with big-name ISPs in the city) preferred in some way? Please check your infrastructure providers to see if any of this is relevant...
Sorry you are having trouble. Do you get this same problem with other browsers? We recommend Safari or Chrome. Also, make suer you have a solid wifi connections and at least 3 mbps download speed.
