I'm streaming on an iPad and mirroring to Apple TV. I just tried a sample of Mr. Parker playing piano, and the video quality was very mediocre.
What controls the video quality? Is it the artist's camera, or my equipment?
PS, my internet speed is 100 Mbps.
There are a few factors that affect video quality. The camera, broadcasting setup, and internet connection of the broadcaster is the main factor.
We do recommend hardware setups for venues and artists but ultimately it’s up to them to maintain and tweak the settings for optimal audio and video. Most venues such as Club Passim, use third party streaming software to deliver the stream to us. That gives them a lot of control locally but there’s nothing we can do on our end. I’ll reach out to Passim to see what can be done to improve their video settings.
