Distortion in higher frequencies

Marcus Boyd Mar 20, 2016 08:58PM EDT

I've done several test broadcasts this evening to make sure audio is ready for Tuesday night. No matter what I use (even the audio coming from my web cam) the higher frequencies of my guitars and my vocals distort a little. The lower register of frequencies doesn't distort noticeably.

Of course I tried all the obvious things including different guitars, different microphones, reducing levels on volume, trying different eq values and even using a different interface into the computer. Everything sounds clean when recorded on any of my software on the computer coming through the same system I'm using to broadcast on Concert Window.

I've made sure there is no clipping indicated on the level meter on the broadcast window.

Through process of elimination there seems to be some clipping going on somewhere in the Concert Window process. Please advise. I can do a test broadcast for you if you want to hear it. I can't get it to stop on my end, and the sound coming out of my computer is clean.

Thanks for your help.

I did some more reading online and tried Open Broadcast. That fixed the problem.
