stream quality

Travis Bush Jan 31, 2016 07:27PM EST

I have fast internet, running about 60mb up. I am broadcasting from a Tricaster. My stream settings are 640x360 at 512k. the stream looked good, but i had many complaints that it would time out every couple of minutes and was choppy at times. Are there any specific settings you recommend to use with the tricaster? Does concert window use adaptive bit rate streaming for use on different devices and internet speeds?

hi Travis, those settings should be fine. Are you in H.264 video (rather than VP6)?
Were the complaints widespread? Sometimes a few fans can have issues watching due to slower internet.
We do transcode a second stream for phones. Folks watching on computers will get the original stream you send up.

If I broadcast at 1280 x 720 at 1024 bps with my tricaster do you think many home computers will choke on that?
