EQing your feed

Stuart Benbow May 27, 2015 05:32PM EDT

I've been going through the sound check for a couple of days now, adjusting mic positions, line-in vs micing an acoustic guitar, chsnging microphones, and trying to EQ the sound to optimize the viewing experience.

On my setup, I can monitor thr audio from my interface, from the computer, and with the delay, through the stream, but I've noticed that the streamed sound is a bit low on bass, high on treble, and a bit thin sounding compared to the source audio.

Do you have any suggestions that might help bring the source and the broadcast closer, or at least to dial in the broadcast sound?

Meanwhile, I'll be testing with a usb webcam/mic next to see if that has the same issue.

Thanks

hi Stuart,

The best way to get high quality sound is to use a third party encoding software like Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder or Open Broadcasting Software. Those let you broadcast in stereo sound at whatever bitrate you would like.

To use those programs with Concert Window, grab RTMP information from your Broadcast page and enter that into the software. Then your stream will go up to Concert Window.
